WHAT WE BELIEVE

ABOUT GOD

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are eternal, simultaneous, co-equal persons and are one God.

Matthew 6:9; 7:11; 28:19; Isaiah 6:3; 40:12-26; 46:8-11; 55:6-7; Psalms 90:2; 138:5-6; Genesis 1:1; 3:22; 26-27; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

ABOUT JESUS

Jesus Christ is the only Son of God and co-equal with the Father. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born to a virgin, lived a sinless human life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days; he ascended to God’s side and will return again to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

John 1:1-5, 11:14-18, 14:10-30; Luke 1:18-20; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Ephesians 1:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:16 ; Mark 1:14-15; Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6 ;1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 ; Romans 1:3-4 ; Acts 1:9-11; 2 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every disciple of Jesus from the moment of salvation.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

ABOUT THE CHURCH

The Church is the universal, living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all who are born again are members. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13 ; Ephesians 2:19-22 ; John 3:5-8; 1 Peter 2:4-5

ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Old and New Testaments are both the Word of God and fully inspired to be interpreted according to their context and purpose. 2 Timothy 1:13, 3:16 ; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalms 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 15:4; James 1:22

ABOUT SALVATION

Salvation is a free gift from God to humanity. Only by believing in Jesus Christ can we be saved. Eternal life became ours the moment Jesus rose from the dead; received in the process of believing, confessing, repenting, and being baptized into Jesus Christ. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God.

Romans 6:3-4; 23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1; John 10:29; Acts 2:36-39, 8:36-39, 22:16; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25,10:10-14; 1 Peter 1:3-5

OUR PURPOSE

TO WORSHIP GOD

All people were intended for an eternal relationship with their creator.

TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER

There is no higher goal in all human relationships than to love our neighbours

TO MAKE DISCIPLES

Christ started a mission that we are all called to continue, the making of disciples from all nations.

TO SERVE OTHERS

We are all gifted and able to make the world a better place through service

To LEAVE JUDGEMENT TO GOD

While we are called to teach the gospel to all men, we are not the judge of all men, God is.

Church Ministries

Marrieds

The church has married couples ranging from young marrieds to “empty nesters”. Sound teaching, equipping workshops and close friendships help husbands and wives build God-centered marriages which display His love to the world. It takes a village to raise a child, especially considering the challenges of parenting in these times. Parents are equipped and supported to communicate well with their kids, to love them and to help them make wise decisions in life, including to follow Jesus. Fun family activities build good friendships and memories.

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry (Young Prefessionals) includes campus students and young single professionals, connected by strong bonds of love and authentic friendships. Regular get togethers include lively Bible discussions, prayer meetings, hang outs (fun & food) and outdoor activities. Retreats and sleep-overs add to the memories made as they live life to the full. This diverse group of young adults is a powerful witness to the unity, love and joy available in Christ. Families in the church with homes are encouraged to host youth events and hang outs, providing opportunities to connect across life phases and generations.

Teenagers

Teenagers love to engage in learning deep truths about God and the central role of Jesus in His New Creation project. This ministry is led by spiritually mature disciples who strive to instill in these youngsters a deep love for Jesus through His Word, working in partnership with the parents. Regular fun activities aim to build deep peer friendships. Young adults are also involved to build relationships with them, to mentor and help prepare them for the challenging years of adulting which lie ahead.

Kids Zone

This ministry includes children aged 6 months to 12 years, with Sunday classes for different age groups. These formative years are a critical time to nurture a child’s relationship with God and young children respond eagerly when listening to Bible stories, singing songs or praying. Classes are presented in a fun and interesting way, using Bible stories, songs, prayers and crafts, to teach children about God and His Word. The children are also encouraged to build strong friendships with one another which will last for many years..

Singles

This ministry is focused on making your single days, the best days of your life and taking you to the edge of your seat. Exciting, Connected, Vibrant, Creative, Active, Social, Spiritual, Inviting, Infectious & Memorable.
Be prepared for themed devotionals, retreats, small group discussions & worship

Mens Ministry

The men’s ministry in the church aims to build strong, authentic friendships across culture, language and age groups. Apart from exchanging regular messages of encouragement and praying together, there are campaigns focused on topics relevant to men in this day and age, which involve teaching, discussion and practical challenges. The campaigns are aimed at helping men to not give in to the culture and temptations of the world, but instead to be rooted and growing in Christ. Special events include: weekend  devotional talks and physical meetings to build unity and deeper friendships.

Women's Ministry

The women’s ministry unites women from varied backgrounds, cultures and ages who are committed to loving and serving one another through a life of devotion to Jesus. Bible teaching, group discussions and workshops help the women put down deep roots, and special events and breakaways forge close relationships and are an opportunity to reach out to other women. The older women are encouraged to mentor the younger women and deep relationships form across generational lines.

Family Groups

Family groups are a diverse group of church membership living in the same neibourhood and close communities and aim to build lasting family ties and friendships. The family groups support each other and  encourage one another daily via WhatsApp, meet biweekly to reflect on Bible truths, and have social and outreach activities. This ministry provides a safe place for visitors in the area who need to be heard, accepted and loved unconditionally. Anyone is free to join these family groups.

How can I join the disciples Family?

Join Gods family

In Matthew 3:28 The Lord Jesus Christ gave us a command to go out and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey the scripture. We are in the business of making disciples. Not only do we want to make make disciples, we also want to teach them to obey Gods Word. As a church, we have adopted the model of the apostles in welcoming people into Gods kingdom. We do so by doing one on Bible studies with those interested in knowing Gods word. Our studies are scriptural based. Based on your decision and repentance to follow christ, we baptise and are welcomed into the kingdom of God.
